It's a new year and that means new things are happening here at the Lohr Woodworking Studio & JD Lohr School of Woodworking. Maybe I should clarify that they are old-new things; we are bringing back the blog! That's right, you read it correctly. It's happening, folks. The blog has a new home embedded here in our new website (instead of the now-retired blogspot address) but, it will be the same great content littered with pictures you loved so dearly in the past.
Back in the days of its founding, the blog was updated regularly because I was an apprentice. But since I find myself knowing what I'm doing around the shop 4 years later, I am often busy making furniture and teaching classes which leaves me with far less free typing time. However, I know what the people want, and they want the Lohr Woodworking blog posts they love. Rob and I are joining forces to bring it all back. We will alternate writing entries to ensure weekly updates as well as cover more ground in content and perspective. We will cover projects we are working on, techniques, antics, and anything else going on under the shop roof. It's going to be awesome. In fact, the post to follow this one is dedicated to a look at all the pieces we made in 2016. That's pretty awesome.
Are you so psyched guys? Because we are.
Cheers to 2017! Let's make a bunch of really cool furniture and other fun wooden projects together in the next 365 days.
